Another safe short trip in times of Covid-19 led us back again to Leutschach at the South Styrian Wine Road in Austria. Four days of rest, calming down, (sun) bathing, campfire, breakfast under the cherry tree and lots of great wine at Sandra and Karli's winery. We felt refreshed!
More than seven years after our last visit here, we returned to the Marbach stud for a summer visit. Not only is the stud famous for its tradition of horse breeding for more than 500 years; it is also home for a herd of white Arabian horses - dream mounts for yesterday's kings and today's girls!
Summer holidays! We took the chance and our old-fashioned bicycles to bike the former military training area near Münsingen. 2005 is was shut down and turned into the biosphere area Swabian Alb. We climbed the abandonded observation towers, made rest at the former village of Gruorn and took another break at the Biosphere Center. Exhausted, but happy, we made it back home after roughly 7,5 hours and 31 kilometers - just in time for a huge sundae!
A rather spontaneous trip took us back to our second home on Crete for a week. First travel in times of Covid-19! Days of calming down in the Aegean sea and under the Mediterranean sun...
